Trinity Lutheran School offers childcare before school, after school and on non-school days.

ESD - Extended School Day

Children may be brought into the school by their parents or guardians as early as 7:00 a.m. and be picked up as late as 5:45 p.m.  This portion of our child care program is available from 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. and from 3:15 to 5:45 p.m. during the school year.  Before school care is supervised by two adults.  Children who arrive in the morning are given the opportunity to play box games, draw pictures, do puzzles, work on school work or talk quietly with their friends.  At 8:05 a.m. the children are then dismissed to their classes.  After school care has adult supervision and provides a window of opportunity for the students to do homework from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.  A staff worker is available to help students during this time.  At 4:00 snacks and juice are served to all ESD students.  The snacks are healthy and nutritional and in compliance with the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.  For students who do not wish to do homework, organized games and activities are provided.

Non-School Day Child Care

All day child care is offered on non-school days with the exception of major holidays and "no-school-snow-days".  Child care is provided from 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.  Activities such as games, crafts projects, cooking projects, field trips and movies are provided on these days.  Children must be pre-registered in ordered to participate.  Sign-up sheets are located in the ESD sign in area at school and in the school office.  Child care is not offered when school is canceled due to inclement weather, poor road conditions or other emergencies determined by the principal.
