Dear Parents,

We have a lot going on in the last few days before Christmas break!!

Tonight we will present our Christmas program.  We did a good job this moring!  Just a reminder that students should be in the classroom no later than 6:15.  Please make sure they use the restroom before you bring them in.

Some important dates and reminders:

- Dec. 13th- Wear your jammies to school!  Also, remember to bring a sack lunch as there wil be no hot lunch served this day.

-Dec. 15th- Again no hot lunch will be served so please remember to pack a sack lunch.

- Dec. 20th- We will be making gingerbread houses.  If yoiu would like to donate some candy or frosting please send it in by Dec. 19th.

Dec. 21st- Christmas party!  We will be doing a gift exchange.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Also, thank you to everyone that has signed up to bring treats!  This helps fill their tummies when they are use to eating at 11:15.  School dismisses at noon.  There is no lunch or childcare this day.

We do go outside whenever possible-even if it is only for 10 minutes!  So please remember to send warm clothes for your child (warm coats, hats, mittens, etc.)

Just so you all know I will be gone next Thursday and Friday as my family is moving into a new house!  Miss Brooke, Miss Steph, and Miss Andrea will have the classroom covered.  I will check my email, but if you need anything please call Miss Jessica in the office.

We will see you all tonight!

Trinity offers an excellent Pre-Kindergarten program for 4 – 5 year olds. This program helps to prepare your child for Kindergarten and ensure their readiness. Our Pre-K program utilizes the ‘Splash into Pre-K’ curriculum by Houghton Mifflin. Splash into Pre-K helps teachers to build a community of learning by using all of the core domains including emotional, physical, cognitive, and linguistic. It also integrates all of the curricular areas of reading and language arts, math, science, social studies, health, and art into the daily instruction. The Pre-K teachers plan comprehensive lessons and high interest activities that engage the children and allow them to explore at many different levels. In Pre-Kindergarten children are introduced to what Christian education is all about while learning to share, play together, form friendships, and take the first steps in discovering who they are through the eyes of God. Pre-Kindergarten is offered on a full or part-time basis.

Trinity Lutheran Early Childhood program has developed learner goals and outcomes that are based on the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines. These guidelines provide a reliable tool to gauge learning and development in all of the core areas. Our teachers will regularly observe the children and share observations of the children’s activities and progress with families. Our teachers will also assess your child’s development and learning using the GOLD assessment tool.
