Trinity offers and wonderful program for children ages 18 months – 3 years old. Our toddler program provides a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for your child to learn and grow. We instill in your child the knowledge of God’s love for him/her. Toddlers experience a short preschool time in the morning that involves Jesus Time, group time, and then activities that relate to weekly themes and the children’s interests.

Our toddlers are introduced to letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and basic learning skills. The children learn through play and various learning activities. We utilize the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddler, and Two’s. This program is offered on a full or part-time basis.

Trinity Lutheran Early Childhood program has developed learner goals and outcomes that are based on the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines. These guidelines provide a reliable tool to gauge learning and development in all of the core areas. Our teachers will regularly observe the children and share observations of the children’s activities and progress with families. Our teachers will also assess your child’s development and learning using the GOLD assessment tool.

2 ½  – 3 Years Old

Butterfly Room News, March 2017

Miss Jen Harter

The Butterfly Room is for toddlers ages 2 1/2- 3 years old. Children are introduced to basic concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. Lesson plans are based on weekly themes and incorporate different learning areas such as art, sensory, and math. Children participate in a daily Circle Time where they listen to a story, talk about the calendar and the weather, and sing songs. During the daily Jesus Time, children listen to a Bible story, sing songs about Jesus, and learn about His love for us, and how we should love others. Potty training and self-help skills, such as washing hands, and putting on shoes and jackets, are both worked on in the Butterfly Room. Children in the Butterfly Room also attend chapel on a weekly basis.
